Oz Paker, MFA

I am an interdisciplinary designer and my work ranges from interior design to art consultation, from multimedia art to lifestyle product design. After graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul, with a BFA in Ceramics Art & Design, I moved to New York to pursue a graduate degree in design. First, I completed my AAS degree in Interior Design at Parsons School of Design, NYC. In 2001, I completed my MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree in Design & Technology at Parsons while simultaneously working as a faculty member in the Product and Communication Design departments. I started my career in creative design services with a passion for communication & visual design, and new technologies.

As a visual story-teller, I am driven to create innovative, elegant and human centric user experiences and products. I am passionate about applying consumer psychology with an interaction science-backed approach. Being a detail-oriented, adaptable individual, a natural leader and a good team-player, helped me throughout my career to advance. It also helped me to work with private and corporate clients from many different sectors: such as e-commerce, printing, automotive, trade shows, health, fashion, art events and galleries, consultancy firms, etc.

Each project is different; and being a communication designer, I see myself as a translator between the challenge and the end product. Even though technology and tools change rapidly, the essentials of design remain the same. I am highly notable for my eye-catching zen and minimalist aesthetic, sophisticated design sense, keen eye for color and composition.

First located in New York, I moved to Los Angeles with my family in 2016. And I have a son in high school getting ready for college. When I'm not busy creating and finding solutions for my clients, you may find me hiking, dancing, or traveling.
